Gregory B. Castelli, PharmD, FCCP, BCPS, BC-ADM, CDCES is a pharmacist and Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine where he serves as the Director of Academic and Clinical Pharmacy. He is also the Interprofessional Education Thread Co-Lead in the new Three Rivers Curriculum.
Dr. Castelli received the PharmD degree from Wilkes University and then completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency, PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency, and Faculty Development Fellowship at UPMC St. Margaret. Following residency, he was a Clinical Assistant Professor at West Virginia University Schools of Pharmacy and Medicine where he established a clinical practice site with the WVU Department of Family Medicine. Dr. Castelli returned to Pittsburgh to join the UPMC St. Margaret Family Medicine and Pharmacy Residency programs from 2016-2023. Here, Dr. Castelli served as the Director of the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency, Associate Director of Faculty Development Fellowship, and Director of Medical Decision Making Education.
Dr. Castelli’s practice is in primary care at the UPP Family Medicine offices and Latterman Family Health Center. His interests include evidence-based medicine and management of chronic conditions including diabetes and asthma/COPD. Dr. Castelli is active in ACCP and STFM national organizations.
